This policy explains how Rise Entertainment Wedding & Event DJ handles personal information collected through djriseentertainment.ca. Rise Entertainment is a one-person business run by Ryan, so when this policy says “I”, that’s who it means.

When you send a message through the contact form, I receive the details you type in. You don’t have to use the form: you can call or email instead, and the same care applies to what you share that way.

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your type of event, event date, and venue or city
• Anything optional you choose to add, such as a partner’s name, guest count, start and end times, how you heard about Rise Entertainment, and your message

The form sends your details to me by email using Resend, an email delivery service. Resend’s servers may be located outside Canada, including in the United States, so your information may be handled under the laws of those countries while it is delivered.

The website itself is hosted by Cloudflare, which may keep basic technical records, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.

I use your details only to reply to your enquiry, check my availability, send you a quote and, if you book, plan and play your event. I don’t sell, rent or trade your information, and I don’t add you to a mailing list.

This website doesn’t use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies, and it doesn’t load third-party scripts that follow what you do on the page. The only JavaScript that runs on the site is a small script on the contact page that sends your message.

I keep enquiry emails for as long as they’re useful for answering your question and, if you book, for planning your event and keeping ordinary business records. You can ask me to delete your enquiry at any time.

Rise Entertainment serves Vancouver Island, British Columbia, where the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) sets out how private businesses collect, use and disclose personal information. In general terms, you can ask what personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, and ask me to delete it where I’m not required to keep it.

If the way this website handles information changes, for example if a new form or tool is added, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
