Many celebrations here are on the smaller side: a wedding of forty people in a rented house, a milestone birthday on a deck above the harbour, or an elopement followed by dinner and a few hours of dancing. Small groups need a different approach from a ballroom.

With fewer guests, every song choice gets noticed and the volume has to suit the space. I’ll ask who’s coming, what they like and how you want the evening to feel, from a relaxed dinner soundtrack to a proper dance party once the plates are cleared.

Couples often want photos or a short ceremony along the Wild Pacific Trail or near the lighthouse at Amphitrite Point. Those spots are public and exposed to the wind, so if you’d like music there, tell me when you check your date and I’ll let you know what’s workable.

Receptions here are often in vacation rentals, lodges, halls or private properties. In a small harbour town sound carries, so before you commit, confirm these points with the owner or venue.

Ucluelet is reached on Highway 4, turning south at the junction where the road splits toward Tofino. It’s a long drive from the east side of the Island, with mountain stretches and patches of no cell service, so guests should plan to arrive with time to spare.

Send out-of-town guests directions they can follow without a phone signal, and plan the start of the day so a slow drive doesn’t hold anything up. Setup time, finish time and your weather backup are worth settling early.
