Valley events often happen in open spaces: farm fields and barns, orchards, rural properties with a view of the Comox Glacier, halls in the smaller villages, and waterfront spots around Comox Harbour. Many are part indoor, part outdoor.

Barns and tents make a great party space but need some planning. I’ll ask where the power comes from, whether the dance floor is under cover, and how far the music needs to reach. If you’d like music at a ceremony in a field and a reception in a barn, tell me early and I’ll confirm what’s possible and how much time the move needs.

When the ceremony, photos and reception are spread across the Valley, guests often arrive in waves. I plan the music around your timeline rather than a fixed playlist: relaxed through dinner, ready when you are for the first dance, then building the dance floor. I’ll ask about your guests’ ages and favourite eras so the mix fits the room.

The Valley’s calendar fills with summer gatherings, fundraisers and holiday parties. For outdoor community events, weather and power decide the plan, so power and shelter are the first things I’ll ask about.

For corporate events and Christmas parties, the music needs to sit under dinner conversation, stop cleanly for speeches, and pick up once the formal part is done. For school dances and proms, I’ll confirm the school’s rules on clean edits before the night.
