Before the day, I don’t guess at your taste. You give me your must-play songs, a do-not-play list and the moments that matter to your families, like a grand entrance, a parent dance or a cultural tradition. On the night, I read the room and keep the dance floor moving within those lines.

Downtown and James Bay venues often come with tight loading zones, shared elevators and set times for when a vendor can arrive. Heritage buildings can also have quirks, like limited outlets or rooms where sound carries. I’ll ask for your venue contact so I can confirm access, setup time and any end time or volume limits well before the day.

Victoria has a steady calendar of staff parties, fundraisers and conference evenings. For those, the music usually needs to sit under conversation during dinner and speeches, then lift once the formal part is done.
